A great beginning to Namaste Nepal

We are a little upstart non-for-profit — with a big heart. A big thank you from all of us here at Ocean Wishes to all the donations overnight!  Also a HUGE “Thank You” to our new Director of Outreach and Operations, Melissa Guarino, she is the driving force with this fundraiser.

The first 24 hours: We have raised over 800 dollars for the Namaste Nepal project.

The news from Nepal as of 10AM, April 29th (EST): From the BCC;  the death toll is now over 5,000 from the 7.8-magnitude earthquake. Most survivors are in desperate need of food and water. The U.N. has launched an appeal for $415 million to provide emergency relief over the next three months. Nearly eight million people have been affected by the quake, according to the U.N. About 10,000 are reported injured.
