A great beginning to Namaste Nepal

We are a little upstart non—profit with a big heart. A big thank you from all of us here at Ocean Wishes for all the donations overnight! Also, a HUGE “Thank You” to our new Director of Outreach and Operations, Melissa Guarino. She is the driving force behind this Namaste fundraiser.

The news from Nepal as of 10 AM, April 29th (EST): From the BCC, the death toll from the 7.8-magnitude earthquake is now over 5,000. Most survivors are in desperate need of food and water. The U.N. has launched an appeal for $415 million to provide emergency relief over the next three months. According to the U.N, nearly eight million people have been affected by the quake. About 10,000 are reported injured.
