2019 Dive Training Grant winners

Ocean wishes is proud to announce the 2019 Dive Training grant winners. Ocean wishes donation to the Women’s Diver Hall of Fame Foundation and the Scuba Show scholarship totaled 3,000 dollars.

What or who inspired you to want to become a diver?
I have been inspired to become a scuba diver by a few things. I have divers in my family, I love nature, travel, and animals and I have been to the Scuba Show two times.
Both my parent’s scuba dive and I’ve always wanted to join them. I would really like to travel all over the world and see everything above and below the water. I think scuba diving is a good family activity that gets people off electronics and out into nature.
I have gone to the Scuba Show in Long Beach the past 2 years and I love to look at all of the places I could hopefully scuba dive someday. I also love to look at the pictures that were taken underwater. The first year that I went to the scuba show one of the people who had a booth there gave me a big picture of a turtle. I have had it in a picture frame every since then and I look at it every day. I would like to dive with the turtles!
